A Semidynamic Bidirectional Clustering Algorithm for Downlink Cell-Free Massive Distributed Antenna System

Cell-free massive distributed antenna system (CF-MDAS) can further reduce the access distance between mobile stations (MSs) and remote points (RAPs), which brings a lower propagation loss higher multiplexing gain. However, interference caused by overlapping coverage areas of RAPs will severely degrade performance in terms sum-rate. Since that clustering mitigate interference, this paper, we investigate novel algorithm for downlink CF-MDAS with limited-capacity backhaul. To backhaul burden effectively, semidynamic bidirectional based on long-term channel state information (CSI) is proposed, has low computational complexity. Simulation results show proposed efficiently achieve sum-rate than static one, close to curve obtained dynamic using short-term CSI. Furthermore, always reveals significant gain regardless size networks.
